Damn. Sorry dude.
I've been there, I just wanted to get out of the house as fast as possible and leave all my shit. My family was tough with me and helped me get everything I deserved like the money I put into her house and all the things she was trying to hide so I'd forget to take them with. Don't let the shell-shock set you up for struggles in the future. It’s cool, probably need that right now anyway.
It’s ok, it’s time. The trees have lived with my torture long enough. So sorry to hear this. 23 years together is a long time and I'm sure you're pretty grief stricken at the moment. Don't be too hasty wanting to give up everything too quick.
do you have closer pics of the trunk/nebari?
Here are a few that caught my eye and I might love to have on my bench. The one on the right in the first picture in particular.
Not going to Florida unfortunately, but appreciate it. What kind of trees do you want? LolI'm sorry to come across this thread and read about your discovery.
I'm over in the Bremerton area and I'd happily take some of your trees off of you.
I have a former coworker/friend who is a veteran who recently moved to Florida. He practices bonsai as well. So if that place is on your list of places to jump ship to, I'm sure I can link you two up. I hope you have some friends or fellow vets who will open up their garage and hear you out.
@Cruiser is also in the state and might be interested in this.
Make an offer and they’re on your benchHere are a few that caught my eye and I might love to have on my bench. The one on the right in the first picture in particular.
I also really like your dwarf rhododendron that you got a garage sale for another thread.
I second, third, fourth this!So sorry to hear this. 23 years together is a long time and I'm sure you're pretty grief stricken at the moment. Don't be too hasty wanting to give up everything too quick.
I will do that when the sun comes up. But I can tell you it’s a fused trunk. Started with about 15-20 seedlings, stuck in a 6” nursery pot for a long time. This spring I bare rooted it, cut the roots back to a nice flat, radial disk and then planted it in this tray. I did a heavy clean out of the trunk, removed dead seedlings and it’s split into two about halfway up. It’s still a work in progressdo you have closer pics of the trunk/nebari?
sorry to hear about your situation dude. with time it'll get easier
I know, I hear you all, we’ve been married 23 years, add two more for dating and that’s a long time to just walk away from. About 4 months ago we had a major life discussion about our life together and we decided we were going to make our life together better. Not sure how 3 different wieners, one of which is or rather was my boss’s helps make our life better, but there it is. I haven’t told her that I found out yet because she’s meeting one on Friday so I’m just going to pop in to say hello.I second, third, fourth this!
These ones caught my eye (the grow box maple specifically in the last pic).
