Back in 2019, I displayed my first tree ever at a local club show. At the time, I thought that this display showed how awesome I was! 😅

After a lot of time, dedication, and humility, I put together this display at the 2024 NJ "Art of Bonsai" show.

Thank you so much to all of the Bonsai Nuts, and people in the bonsai community that have helped me grow over the years!!!

Nice one @Bonsai Forest . Sal comes in humbly showing a display he’s spent months working on, and your first response is to digitally alter his tree on display with now comments at all. I like your tenacity on this site, but this one feels a bit off beat.

Hmm I appreciate the suggestion, but as a fellow Pitch Pine enthusiast.. sometimes natives don’t need to be in such cookie cutter shapes or designs.. not to be harsh but until I see you post trees that can be in a show respectfully id suggest a bit more humility my friend

I’m not going to stop posting pictures. All my trees are in development but they are growing and shaping exactly how I envision them.

I do it to my own trees, but your competitive insecurity is being projected onto me every time you respond to me. How about applying your own humility? If you don’t like it, that is your issue to resolve internally.

Much appreciated, that’s just how my brain works and sees :)

I think you’re missing the point. A slightly more humble approach in this case on this thread would have been best in my opinion. But This is the internet so everything is basically fair game, and I get that, but maybe a simple
“nice display BUT”, along with your wordless comment would have been more tasteful. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is that a shohin trident? Lets get a closer look at that thing.
I have not posted a lot about this imported trident because it just came to my collection this spring. It was not super vigerous when I first got it, so this whole season has been spent on rehab.

I named this sumo trident "Tochinoshin" after my favorite sumo wrestler that retired around the time that I got it. It is planted in a Shibakatsu pot that I ordered from Japan.
