ABS Learning Seminars in association with the 9th US National Bonsai Exhibition, Rochester, NY, USA, September 12-13, 2025

Vendor List is up! To reiterate, Nationals is NOT at the doubletree where ABS is happening, it is at the venue it has always been in at The Total Sports Experience
435 W Commercial St, East Rochester, NY 14445

Even though I submitted my business name they tend to leave it out 🥲 (At Tokutake Bonsai, we will have 4 eight foot tables jammed with pottery and merch).

Thanks for the reminder @Sansokuu. The Doubletree is the official hotel for the US National Exhibition AND the ABS Learning Seminars. Both events arranged for discounted room blocks at that hotel. The US National Exhibition is at The Total Sports Experience as @Sansokuu indicated, while the ABS Learning Seminars will be held at the convention spaces at the Doubletree. You must register separately for EACH event, but they are both priced very affordably. Don’t delay! The US National Exhibition should NOT be missed (I’ve been to all but the first two of them), the last time I checked the rooms for both events were going very quickly, several of the workshops are now filled and the early registration deadline for the learning seminar is August 1. I hope to see you all there!

Look forward to seeing you all there!!

Not to take over the thread, but it'd be my first time at nationals, how are vendor prices usually?

In my experience, the selection of vendors and the quality of the material available at the US National Exhibition is unmatched. I spend a great deal of time in the vendor area. In my opinion there is a wide spectrum of prices and there are deals to be had. It’s a good idea to know what you want and how much you’re willing to spend.

The vendor list on the website says 2025, however it’s not an updated list. I am vending stands this year and when I didn’t see my name, I contacted Bill and he said that the list will be updated within “a few days”.

Are you on the vendor map?

Sooooooooooooo who is attending and wants a BNut button?? 😆 I put your username on it so fellow bnuts can say hi. (Suggested donation $1)

@Bonsai Nut Can you please refresh the events banner on the main splash page... drop the old events and have the Nationals show up as the next big one? Thanks

Bill just posted a catalog of trees for sale. If anyone is interested in purchasing trees from Bill’s collection and need transport services for it, we have plenty of room in the sprinter van coming back to Oregon. We currently will stop in Chicago on the way back.

Weekend passes to Nationals are now sold out. Sunday passes still available!

@markyscott do you know if seminars will be recorded and posted somewhere after the fact? I definitely want to see several that are all happening at the same time

Sorry to say, they won’t be recorded. That is something that we’ve talked about a bunch and I’m sure it will start happening at some point, but we just don’t have the staffing right now. Since I’m sure you’ll be at MY seminar, I feel sorry for all those other people, lol.

...yes! That's... exactly what I was planning on! Just bummed that I'm going to miss the literati talk for it!

Choices had to be made. I wanted to do 2 workshops and realized I couldnt enjoy a second workshop in a single day, too much wiring and work for an amateur.
Even then, choices to make for the seminars the other half of day. Can't see them all sadly.
