Virginia will catch up soon to California. Talk to me in five years and we'll see if you still feel the same way.
damn right.
"fact- no one is coming for your guns "
this is true there isnt anyone that will be going house to house to confiscate all weapons.
instead they will pass legislation to limit what you can and cannot own,
-limit magazine capacity for carry weapons AND rifles,
-declare weapons as miltary style weapons based on arbitrary even contradictory characteristics,
-decide where you can and cannot carry,
-declare no on has the "right" to conceal carry,
-outlaw private party sales even though there is virtually NO data to support that these sales contribute to violence and its ALREADY illegal to sell to someone ineligible to own a gun (which is why most private sells still insist on seeing a chp or ppp to make sure the buyer isnt a convicted felon etc)
-perpetuate myths such as internet/gunshow loopholes that do NOT even exist,
-ignore the fact that the overwhelming number of guns used to commit violence are stolen by the same creeps they refuse to keep off the streets,
-repeal stand your grand laws/castle doctrine laws (laws that still require a JUSTIFIED use of force that any "reasonable person would deem to be necessary") ,
-ban loosely defined "assault weapons" although they are used in less than 1-2% of all crime (depending on definition)
-overstate gun violence stats by including suicides which constitute almost 2/3 of all deaths and include justified self defense uses in the numbers
-completely ignore numbers on alcohol related deaths which outnumber ALL gun related deaths nearly 3 to 1
-or determine whether australian style gun control is worth "looking at" (yes thats a direct quote from hitlery) .
ALL of which are strategies and suggestions by the same folks that "arent coming for your guns"
