Lichen on juniper?

I attended to as much as I could late Summer early Fall this year but lost some good bark here and there.


I would use a light vinegar/water solution here. Juniper will "cycle" thru outer bark. I prefer the red-ish "juvenile" bark below.
Mechanical removal on a Pine should be avoided, it takes forever to replace that characteristic platting bark.

hm this is good information as well. I like the fresh bark as well and was watching videos of people removing the bark with nylon brushes and was wondering if I should be doing the same.
