Bomb Cyclone!
Hurricane Forces!
Nature's Fury!
Everyone freak out!
Run around in circles screaming!
Empty the shelves....oh...already empty....um....Take the shelves!
Be afraid!
Hide your wife, hide your kids!

In all seriousness though....prayers to those in the path, glad it's not me.

surfs up sunday? i do have a new winter suit
Man, I've been waiting for a decent blizzard around here. My area hasn't seen one in about 24 years. it has been slightly colder and wetter this winter, so maybe I'll get lucky with an old school spring dump.

Enjoy the surf. Those winds will make for extra deadheads in the water, so watch out. Maybe life vest and helmet for this one.

from a local spot a few years ago
this is a spot with a long paddle out (tough to tell but feels like 1/4 mile to lineup)
ive surfed 12' wave faces there, easily, during storms
shyts big time when youre laying on your stomach or riding one

I've seen people jump on 15', 20' swells when I was stationed in Washington with CG. Not recommended. If they don't move parallel to the beach you'll get crushed on your way back in, and even then it's hinky.

For sure. The conditions in the pic and what I've been out in dozens of times and aim for would drown average swimmers. I've been ragdolled for 10 second hold downs covering my head from boulders and my board. In great white hunting grounds as I've mentioned. They like Washington waters too. Thanks for your service shady
