Large ficus progression (first post in a while)

Thank you @Anthony what I usually do is tip the water out of the saucers after the rain and let them sit in it for the day. Something like a tropical rain storm but you are probably right and Ill do that when the rain stops. I will absolutely post up what I do in September. It is a private day...

Large ficus progression (first post in a while)

Thank you all for the kind words. Hopefully once I can further develop the top's ramification I will be able to start working toward smaller leaves and everything will look in proportion (maybe repot next year into a shallower pot). I have been letting everything grow wild for now to help...

Large ficus progression (first post in a while)

I wrote out the story of how I acquired the tree and the photos show a thorough progression. I initially purchased it from Hollow Creek when they sold off a large part of their tropical collection (maybe 3 years ago?). Its been a work in progress ever since and always a champion putting out...

I just want to say that I have been buying trees from Adam (STICKROOT) for the past couple of years and am always blown away by how awesome his trees are! Like the title mentions I am looking for a graphic designer that also does bonsai. I need the designer to be able to look at our club's logo tree and recreate it in a vector format so that I can use it across many different types of media (web, print, and embroidery). It would be a silhouette...

Canyon Live Oak. What do I do?

Oaks are challenging in states that get cold. During winter, my willow oaks (or maybe live oaks) are kept in an attached garage that has windows with supplemental lighting. The temperatures tend to hover around 45 degrees and I occasionally need to open the garage to lower temps. My lighting is...

    Dying elm???

Even a Ficus can be difficult indoors. Much more prone to disease and leaf loss (due to lack of light penetration). I have also realized that moisture meters don't work with bonsai soil since it is mostly a rocky substrate. So much so, that if your meter is working you have too much soil in your...

    Winter color of junipers

Good timing. Some of my junipers really changed color this year. However one of them seem to have unusually brittle needles and they almost fall off when touched. We will see though- still early.
