    Hi, Just bought a tamarind tree about 6' tall and about 3/4" diameter base. I intend to chop it down to about 6", but would like to know if I can get a couple more trees from cuttings or even "quick" air-layers. Thanks in advance

My first bonsai was a mallsai, and my last addition is a couple of mallsais that I want to tell myself I rescued from a BJ's (similar to Costco, Sams, Makro)...

    Species to avoid for bonsai

    I have a bonsai managazine (dont remember which) that has a New Zealand Tea Tree on the cover, it looks amazing. Even though the difficulties, the view is something that I believe makes it worth trying. Have one in the ground styling for some day when I have more experience in bonsai.

    Undiscovered Native Species: Viburnum obovatum (Walter's Viburnum) What about Viburnum obovatum (Walter's Viburnum), believe also called small leaf arrowwood. This is a shrub species native to Florida. Not much said about them being used as bonsai, but the way they look screams bonsai to me...
