    Got this Yatsubusa today, and I am very happy with the purchase. However as you can see, there are some spots with inverse taper/knobbing (which is very typical of yatsubusa elms). Obviously I'm thinking air layers, one at the top under at that bulge, and one at the bottom right on that bulge...

    Soil Selection Question

    Hi all, I purchased three 1-gallon trees from Evergreen Gardenworks. 1 trident maple and 2 elms. Following Brent's advice, I would now like to move them from the 1 gallon containers to larger grow boxes. Does anyone have recommendations on a pre-mixed soil that is good but also affordable...

    White Chojubai

    This is one of 11 plants (7 Chaenomeles) I picked up from Evergreen Gardenworks this spring. It's grown well and did great with a repot a couple of months back and has just flowered on the old wood from the cutting. This seems late in the year as I thought quince tend to flower in late winter...
