I'm going to try and not even use the alerts notifications for a week and see what happens (as in, can I live without them).

Alerts Notifications are starting to aggravate me..
So, in an effort to see if it is just me, I decided not to use the Alerts Notification tab
for one week. I found it is very hard to keep up with threads without it. More often
than not the number increases on the tab but I can't always find out why. Since
Monday, I've had 174 alerts. Then, a few minutes ago the number on the tab just
disappeared. Gone, one second it's there the next it's gone. Something is amiss I tell
you, something is amiss. But, I'm just going to live with it I guess.

Once I touch the little red flag on the alerts it disappears but what the alert is for who it's from and what thread it's in shows up. I still have an alert tab on my screen. I can touch it and then it asks to show all alerts. Touch and I see every alert I've recieved.
