Squarepants with Conkers
I thought I would take the time to share some of the “pieces” that I have been working on, to give a feel of the TYPE of craft I’ve been participating in lately.
This first guy’s inspiration was sparked simply by noticing and acquiring a few pine and spruce “shoulders” severed by parks maintenance workers. Four different kinds of driftwood was collected and cut down to usable lengths. A homemade wood stain was attempted, but brass was used and it basically ended up quite black in color. (Not what was intended, but Im not totally UNpleased with the result) Wild vine was harvested, soaked and wrapped. Just waiting for the vine to dry to “slap“ the final clear coat on.

This next one is a very small landscape-esque planter, inspired solely by the slab found that serves as... well as the slab.

The workmanship isn’t real great, just excited and wanted to share.
