Anything other than pots to bring back from Japan??

Eyebrow tattoo gel cannot yet be purchased outside of East Asia. Personally, I'd get some sake, a silk kimono (to properly stare at my bonsai) and some sort of stringed instrument.

Not encouraging bad behavior, but I have yet to be stopped for seeds.

Honestly take an assortment of snacks in the 7/11's- there's this Korean brand of chocolate churro corn chips (??) that honestly compares favorably to crack cocaine. I assume Japan's convenience stores are a lot like Taiwan's, by which they are quite unlike American ones. A shelf of hard liquor right next to the snacks, for instance.

I Do Not endorse the following statement. But,, if one were to take a small vitamin bottle, and put a handful of Pinus parviflora seeds inside.... Or maybe some scattered sunflower seeds and a few other nuts among your luggage, from a spilled snack? Some of which happen, coincidentally, to be pine nuts?

Skip all the candy because it will take too much space on your travel back.
Concentrate on the important things for you and fill your bags with that.
