My sweet plum bonsai has green aphids all over it, making its leaves curl and deform.

Any tips on how to get rid of them?

I live in a secluded, locked down area so dont have access to a garden centre to buy pesticide although I don't want to use something that harsh anyway.

Thanks in advance x

Rinse the aphids off...you can make a soap mix and spray once initial majority have been rinsed off. Be diligent in keeping watch. And treat as needed.

I happen to order everything online. I live in a very remote location. So I understand that. If the aphids become to much and you wish to switch to something stronger.

I'd smash the largest concentrations of them then blast it from the bottom with the hose to finish em off.

Burn any that can be burned without ruining the tree, which is more than you'd expect!

Green aphids, as well as most black aphids, any aphid with a soft body for that matter, should be hating neem oil. It works for me.
Lady bug larvae can do some real damage to aphids too, but they always come too late in the season.

Bayer Feed and Protect will end aphids FOREVER.
Simple systemic granulated feed and control of adelgids.

Keep it in perspective!! If its only one small tree aphids are easy enough to squash or wash off with soapy water without resorting to toxic chemicals!

Fon individual infections on smaller trees I usually use a mixture of a short of liquid soap, a short of cleaning alcohol in a half gallon filled water sprayer. Drown the foliage and branches (I prefer to avoid dripping in the pot where realistic but am not really concerned). Repeat once a week for 3-4 weeks and the problem should be gone.

Or use a hand sprayer from a ordinary spray bottle in a bottle of 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Don't overdue the amount of alcohol.
