Hello all

This is an updated pic of my arborvitae literati. I worked on it last weekend. It has been in training for 3 years..I really love the movement of this tree. It was purchased at Lowes as one of those fall sale plants. It was the only arborvitae that I have ever seen in a one gallon pot that had a subtle curved trunk like this. Every arbo I have seen all have that pin straight, multiple trunk look.

The foliage on the upper potion of the tree and other places is still quite young, so it has a bit of a messy look, which is necessary for it's training. I was happy that I could do some work on it last weekend because I did my late winter/early spring pruning on it and then waited for the last 4 months or so for some of the folaige to mature. In just 4-5 months, I had some pretty good options. Even though it is young, I have the young foliage headed in the right direction. I was even able to get a small apex going. Also, this tree has very good branch placement..

I think I paid $7 for this tree...

Rob, what a find. Good job on making a nice tree in just 3 years.
