I see these (dwarf asiatic jasmine, trachelospermum asiaticum var chirimen) in most Japanese 5 point shohin displays. Anyone have any experience with them? I’ve found the non dwarf variety locally but they’re all sold as creepers (multiple long skinny tendrils intended to be strung up across a trellis) and was wondering if anyone has any experience thickening them up into bonsai form? Peter Warren has a large non dwarf specimen so it is usable, but not sure how quickly they can be developed from a nursery creepers?

Was really hoping to find some solid insite and info on this species. I've been watching the kokufu footage from this year and the star jasmine specimens caught my eye. Little did I know I have an abundance of non dwarf Trachelospermum asiaticum in my backyard and am contemplating buying some chirimen cuttings online. Gave you a follow on IG regardless 👍
