As hoped for, more JPN to work on.

I opted to abandon the semi-cascade style for an informal style.

I also like the trunk movement and base. A little structural pruning, removing crotch growth and learning proper wire anchoring to then wrap the trunk was great. I used someone’s extra and discarded wire to follow the main wire and apply some to the smaller branch at the arch and put a little movement in it.

There were 22 participants in the class, one of whom is age 11 (awesome!) and he seemed really into Bonsai, asking thought provoking questions and showing interest.

Can’t wait to participate in the Lynchburg Demo February 24 and bring trees for 1-on-1, critiques, and plans for furthering some trees. Danny is super down to earth and stayed after for 40 minutes talking with me. Excellent first experience for me at the workshop. 🌲
