Bare Copper Wire at Menards (Midwest box store)

So for anyone out there, are these good sale prices on bare copper wire? For anyone on Bnut who has a Menards near them, these should be good through tomorrow only, sorry to share it so late if if is a good price. They are all pre-measured out too.

I'm not certain....

But I swear I saw a roll of wire way longer than that AT THG for less.

And you still have to anneal that wire.

Whats "AT THG"? Oh yeah, I know you still have to anneal it. Seamed decent prices for the sizes I thought, mostly why I posted here to see what others thought. Why I left it all in the package in case it isn't as good a deal as I thought.

Those are heavy gauges of wire. I have some 4. Never used it. (But I have it if I ever need it)

Occasionally, I'll use 6, not often. 8 is usually the heaviest wire I need.

The other gauges (not listed) are the ones I use the most: 10 and 12 are used frequently, but the ones I use the most are 14 and 16. Especially 16. That's what I use when detailing JBP. I use 18 on JWP and Juniper. 20 and 22 not much. Guy wires mostly.

How do the prices on those look? I'm not sure how thick the stranded ones are. Seemed pretty thin

I have no clue about the prices. You could compare to Julian Adams easier than Gremel, I think. Julian sells by the foot, Gremel by weight.

Braided, you would have to unbraid, then anneal. A royal pain.
