@Nybonsai12 thanks for the conversation on the cut timing subject.....and providing the link to Brian's post...which contained an additional link to chopping articles. I am highly curious right now. I just chopped trunks of ground-growing Hackberry, Celtis Sinensis, at early Spring for my area. I chopped at bud swell in the earliest stage...the hint of growth to begin start-up. I left the roots alone at this time. Buds on lower branches were left intact are opening well. I am hoping for that explosive growth often described.....I have no idea how long it take to get that growth. Funny....I go out 2-3 times a day checking for new buds....I hope something happens. Soon.
