I noticed last night 2 of my bougies have black spots on their leaves. A couple of the affected leaves have wilted and died. We have had alot of rain lately, maybe causing something fungal? I've never seen this before on any of them. This is very distressing as they were both getting ready to bloom. I have some Daconil, if anyone thinks that will help. black spot.jpgblack spot2.jpgblack spot3.jpg

I use daconil for fungal stuff too. I like it, just be careful not to use it if it’s crazy hot and sunny. I think it’s got some phototoxic effects to it, it’ll damage the leaves rather than help if you spray it and it is allowed to “cook” on the leaves before evaporating off. If you can, wait for a cooler day. I’ve damaged some foliage by gambling on days over 85 degrees.

I sprayed them with the Daconil, so I guess will see. Never seen this on my bougies before. But it doesn't usually rain this much in August either. I sprayed them for bugs also, somethings been chomping on the one with the big leaves. Maybe the #@%$# japanese beetles.

Florida gets tons of rain...maybe it's fungal. I've not seen it either. Even with a lot of rain. But treating never hurts. Sometimes I use a three in one spray that hits pests and fungal. To be safe. But I also use what you just used.

Remove damaged leaves and dispose of them so they aren't in a compost bin.
