Hello everyone! Do you have a tree that's meaningful to you that you would be willing to show off?

I'm a Junior film studies major at Occidental college and currently working on a project for my documentary film class.

I'm creating an interactive documentary on bonsai trees and the personal connections an artist creates with them.

I'm currently looking for open responses from people at ANY level of bonsai, from sticks in pots to masterpieces. The guidelines are as
follows:

Please create a brief video clip approximately 1-2 minutes in length.

These can be rough clips, or a fully formed video. No editing or filmmaking skills are required. In this video, please document a tree that is meaningful to you and share some insights into its significance. Consider choosing one or more of the following questions as a catalyst:

1. What techniques, skills, or inspiration was involved in the creation of this tree?

2. How has the vision or goal of this tree changed over time?

3. What have you sacrificed for this tree?

4. What in your life has changed during the life of this tree?

5. Does this tree remind you of anyone in your life?

6. What has this tree taught you?

Visually, you are free to document the tree in a way that makes sense to you. Please highlight the aspects of the tree that speak to you the most through close-up perspectives and let us see the tree from a variety of vantage points. Additionally, please include at least one framing of the tree in its entirety, viewed from the intended "front".

I've set up a drop box for video clips, although if that doesn't work for you please feel free to send me a private message or shoot me an email at jclark2@oxy.edu

Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing about everyone's trees!
