This thread is for BUGS with the new site. Note - this should not be about style issues or suggestions - it should be specifically about things on the site that ARE NOT WORKING.

    tags not working.
  • 'More Options' tab only invokes ability to preview, nothing more.
    • Capability to attach files missing
    • Capability to manage files missing
  • Clicking attached file dos not invoke the light box (as it did in BNut 1.0)

When you click "more options" it just takes you to the advanced post editor. There is still the option to upload a file (either via button below text editor, or within text editor).

The media manager is Flash based. Make sure you have Flash enabled otherwise you will not be able to manage multiple attachments. Not my fault - way the software was coded.
 
When I'm logged in and viewing a thread ("Looking for a nice tree" thread) then click on a link to another thread (post #34) a new window opens with the new thread but I'm not logged in in the new window.

In 1.x one could 'go advanced' and could 'manage attachments' - I could access every file I had ever uploaded and include any of those already uploaded files in the new post I was making at the time. I could reorder the sequence of the (upto 5) attachements to the post (regardless of when they were uploaded). None of this exists now in 2.0.

Media appears to only be what we knew as member galleries in 1.x and that seems to work pretty much as it did in 1.x .

I think the functionality that you are seeking is through the media gallery. When I say this, there are a lot of upload options directly into a thread, including drag and drop, multiple file uploads, live photos from camera, etc, but there is no longevity.

However, if I click the "media gallery imbed" option (the camera icon) I see every image that I currently have in the media gallery. I can drag and drop them into the thread - place them anywhere, in any order, etc. The media gallery is also where you have all your media editing tools - the ability to change titles, rotate, flip, etc.

Here is a bug, when there is a link on a post to an older thread it brings you back to the old site which doesnt work anymore
you will get the message:

Sorry, the site is unavailable while we prepare to launch BonsaiNut 2.0
The new site will be up shortly...

Thanks. I'm not sure I can fix this but let me see about rebuilding links in older threads. I was able to maintain the same thread IDs, so it may be possible.
 
what happened to the little blue dots that took you to the last post in a thread?

I'm having this issue of links going to the old site as well, is there anyway to enable searching by thread id#? We would be able to find the post that way. Thanks for the effort you put into the site.

I think I fixed this, but I can't find an old thread with a link to test it on :)

Can you test it on the link you were looking at that was broken? If it is STILL broken please copy the original thread (with the broken link) here so I can use it to check my fixes.

I think I fixed this. Can you check the thread that was broken and see if it is fixed? If it is NOT fixed, please post a link to the thread so I can use it to check my work.
