hi, i collected this about a month and a half ago. it had almost no roots when i stuck it in the only pot i had at the time. i feel like the soil stays too wet for too long. i could also move it to a sunnier location if thats a good ideabv1.jpg

general recommendation for collected bougainvilleas is to root them in straight pumice or 'bonsai soil' (any combination of akadama, pumice, and lava) and give them full sun. in spite of being a 'tropical' they hate wet feet

This is what it looked like under the dirt. Not good at all. Seems like the only roots are within the loop near the middle. I put some rooting hormone but I think the two trunks at the bottom are rotten
