Campsis radicans – Trumpet vine

I have had this Campsis radicans – Trumpet vine (yellow) for over 10 years now. I failed 10 years in a row trying to develop ramification on the tree. The tree always died back right back to where I tried wiring branch and put some movement in it. I tried clip and grow this spring with great success now. I let it grow and then clip it back.
