TL;DR

I quit reading as soon as it started looking like the author was setting up an argument defending meanness as if it was valuable art criticism. I’m not sure if that is ultimately what he ended up arguing or not. My interest in reading further evaporated as soon as it looked like he was heading in that direction.

The original article is from April 2009. I'd wager that most forums have morphed a bit since then.

Most forums develop their own style and culture. Most forums would also be better if a few principles were used in crafting responses. True humility is always golden. A kind word turns away wrath... even when disagreeing about something. The Book of Proverbs is slam full of counsel about arguing, particularly with people that take joy in being contrary.

Jeez...This shit again. Will complained about things here because he was busy manipulating it. It's a can of worms and its floated under the bridge and out to sea. It's history...

Actually, I found most of his points sensible.
Enlightening.
I knew IBC was international, but didn't know about the
professionals bit.

I never knew of the man.

But I found the points sensible.
I apologise once again to those who get mad.
When you are Hobbyist, the eyes tend to read differently.

My search now is to talk to those 40 plus years in the growing
to discuss the health of the tree further.
I suspect the folk I am searching for are going to be Tropical
growers, in the East.
Good Day
Anthony

That's funny because he took most of what he was saying from here...
