I collected a ton of Cedar elms a couple years ago, and some of them were just re-potted from their crates into training pots this year. I think this one is interesting. It's a Cedar elm that I'm going to try training into a cascade. I'm pretty sure I ran it over with my car a couple times before I collected it. I am going to wait until it grows some new roots before I start shaping it, but I'll try and post an update in a couple months when it has leaves and I've been able to trim it a bit.

Interesting indeed! Loads of character in that trunk! Could make a nice cascade I think, or a very nice semi cascade if you remove a bunch from the lowest branches... Your choice. With such a think trunk, shortening the tree and sticking with the semi may give you a better, more mature image in the end... But with all that crazy looking age to work with, it ought to look pretty cool regardless!

It should chop back to a semi right nice!

I really like this one!

Do keep us updated!
