check my baobabs

Truncheon cuttings - not the easiest propagation route to follow - but I am slowly getting there...20240718_073250.jpg20240919_072754.jpg20250222_170013.jpg20250222_170025.jpg20250222_170422.jpg20250222_170432.jpg20250223_095612.jpg

the 1st 3 pictures in my hand are mid July, mid Sep (still no top growth), and mid Feb...i took them out of the pots because we get a lot of late summer rain and the cuttings were sulking... not sure if i am going to repot again or just leave them out until September??

repotted 2 x beasts this weekend... amazing how the growth explodes when the roots are allowed to escape... there are not many places in the us where trees can be grown outside - if possible it is an absolute game changer. Going to the chiropractor soon o_Oo_Oo_O ... another thing - potting soil is the main ingredient i use - baobabs really love a rich organic substrate, but in the same breath, they also rot easily in it if it stays too wet.
