I collected 3 large junipers back last summer.....They were nothing special and didn't have much bonsai potential and were a real pain to get out of the ground. I planted 2 in the ground and one in a grow box....The 2 in the ground kicked the bucket but the one in the box looks to me like it's doing well....I noticed this weekend that it is putting on berries....I read a post somewhere that said collected junipers will sometime put on berries before they die....? Here are some pics taken today....Does it look like it's going to die....?

The brown stuff seen in the pics is falling out on the oak tree above, it's not from the juniper.

I know it's ugly but it has really grown on me....I may have to slip pot it sometime this summer the plywood bottom is about shot. I may just try to brace it up with something. Good to know it may live to see another year.
