This is a Malus x 'Seiboldii' I purchased for $35 5.5 years ago from Evergreen Garden works as 1 gal. stock. It has spent the last few years being grown out in a large mica pot with the intent of building a bigger trunk and eventually be styled as an informal upright or semi-cascade. This past winter, it was extensively rabbit chomped, losing many branches and the entire upper 1/3 of the trunk, but the lowest branch was untouched because it was under the snow.
