My seed order arrived Friday from treeseedsonline.

Everything soaked in warm water with a couple of sprays of bleach for about 30 hours and now in the fridge. I tried something similar with bleach dilute for JBP seeds, and the only ones that have gone mouldy after 4 weeks have been the non viable seeds.

Very good results from the float test. All the Celtis seeds remained sunken.

Will update around the start of May when these should be ready to some out to play. Some sources say stratify for 90 days, and some say 120.
I may take half out after 90 days and half after 120 and compare results.

I got impatient, and the seeds started going mouldy in the fridge so I planted them up.
They got 75 days in the fridge.

The seed case seems very hard and I've seen a few people mention scarifying. Was no mention of scarification on the packets so I hope i havent messed up!

They're planted in perlite fines and vermiculite and covered in the shed window.

I got impatient as well and took them out of the fridge at around 70 days and a few sprouted. I don't think there is a need for scarification on these.

Well I've had 2 sprouted so far. One out of 24 in the tray pictured, and one of the spares that I just threw in an old pot in the greenhouse. The one in the old pot is doing far better so far and is about 4 times the size.
Only the zelkova out of everything I sowed seems to have germinated at a decent rate.

a little sad that I sowed so many and only had two germinate.

Happy that the one that i just threw in an old pot has done well.

Attached both.

Think I'll just sow straight into bonsai soil next time. This was 50 50 perliteand vermiculite and keeping the moisture consistent t has been a struggle
