I absolutely LOVE the disruption and fear Trump is causing... the only loser in this entire fiasco is the U.S.A. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, WOW!

I'm surprised that Chris Matthews hasn't checked himself into a padded room somewhere in Bethesda.

Of course it's easy. That's why primitive man believed in tree gods and water gods and wind gods. Easy is not good enough reason.

Well, science is never gonna find the missing link, if that's what you're looking for....
I love science too. But there's a major disconnect between what we can learn thru science, and what happened in ancient times to end up with cultures on separate parts of the planet coming up with similar religious ideas.
I think that all religions are man made too, but they are all a direct result of something that happened in the ancient past that we still don't understand.

And you know, I'll just say this...for whatever it may be worth....
I would probably agree with you more if I had not had more than one personal experience in my life, with something of a paranormal/supernatural nature.
Due to this, I know for sure that there is much to be discovered, and much that will always remain unknown.

This is what I disagree with. It's not the ancientness, it's about the charisma of the preacher.

See, this is where it starts. Our mind can play tricks on us and it's very easy to put it down to some mysterious outside force. There is no such thing as the ''supernatural'' If you believe in something like that, you must believe in all of it. Fairies, ghosts, god, demons, unicorns, dragons, spirits. All comes from the mind.

Not to be a name-caller, but you wish all religions be banish from earth, and everyone believe as you do....that's fascism.

If you REALLY believed in your God and his powers, you would never have to go a doctor or dentist... after all, if your God is going to save a place for you in his kingdom, why would you want to delay the trip to such a glorious afterlife by being treated for cancer, heart attack, stroke, etc... to me, it appears as though you are slapping your God's face by refusing to follow his will by ending your existence in this life and going to the next.

Perhaps, your God will throw you out of his kingdom for being a hypocrite.

I think you're misunderstanding my "belief" in whatever God is.
But it's cool....
I don't condone suicide.
 
I would argue that your God would/might look more favourably on an atheist because he is true to his convictions... unlike the "God fearing man" who waffles on his beliefs (and teachings) because he is either afraid to die, or is willingly refusing to follow his God's will.

IMHO, facing death as an atheist would be much more comforting to me, than facing death as a "God Fearing Man" after modern science saved my life a time or two...

If there REALLY is a God, he must have some special punishment for these "practicing non-believers"...
