I got a little board this evening, been real hands off this year, just letting stuff grow....
Anyway, I decided to take a little risk and do some work to this guy.
I didn't wire the top 3 branches, just in case all the branches I wired die... I wanna keep something alive...
You'll notice the upper section of the trunk has thickened too much, due to 3 apical branches all coming from the same spot, so I reduced that to 2.

Nice.

Don't tell the wife I bought one yesterday.

Don't tell everyone else I cut it up bare rooted it and threw it in a basket!

I found this fall load to have way better trunks in the 21.99 pots.

I thought it was just cut out the ground and potted cuz of how the roots were coming out the top. So I went down to find the flare and kept going!

Crazy fat roots on these? Wtf!? Three eights inch white tips? Crazy fat!

Pretty sure it gone die...

But now I gotta look thru EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THESE TOO!

The trunk I found is about wooden baseball bat handle thick.
And the way these get pruned the fatty trunks are bound to be hid within the 9.99 pots too!
