Earwigs?

I am noticing a lot if earwigs collecting under my pots on onebench. They seem especially fond of living under my hinoki Cypress. I know they can be predatory but is there any chance they're trying to munch on my trees? Other than being gross are they a problem?

I get them on my bench and haven't noticed anything negative. except that they look like they hatched in hell

If you put out a piece of corrugated cardboard and keep it moist, they will live there instead of under your pots.
