Over the years I've had a few Erodiums and was never sure on Winter care so I always kept them in my attic which ranges from mid 30s to mid 40s f with occasional dips to around 32 and up to mid 50s. They were kept in front of a East facing window. The last one i had for a long time but it died which I think was due to not re-potting for too long. Can these be over wintered at 68-73 deg ~ 45% rh or is keeping them cool better? I currently have one I just got this Summer in my attic now. Best time to pot up / re- pot, watering, dry, moist?

I have had one here for about 10 years and I keep it in a sunny window with temps between 54- 65 F. I've repotted it in early spring and in summer. Didn't seem to mind either time.

I do the same as @ABCarve, sunny south facing window year round. Also repotted Spring, Summer and Fall, didn't really seem to matter to them, only had them for a couple years though.
Beautiful plants! Which species is commonly used for shitakusa or bonsai?
There's 3 that I use, Erodium Reichardii 'Alba' has single white flowers with pink veins, ER 'Flore Pleno' has double pink and ER 'Charm' has single Reddish pink flowers. 'Flore Pleno' seems to have the smallest foliage of the 3.

Y’all make me jealous. These are my favorite accent plants but I always seem to forget to bring them in when it gets cold outside.
With them being perennials I was curious how much cold they can actually take before they don't come back. But I'm too chicken to try it myself.😆

It seems they should be hardy enough down there. I had a visitor to my garden this summer and remarked, “I didn’t know you could do that with erodium”. “Do you have an erodium”, I replied. She said she had it in her garden as a ground cover. She lives very close to the lake (Erie), which is a zone(6) warmer than me. I was surprised she knew what erodium was as a local gardener. Can’t figure this one out.
