It is difficult to find quality stands, but there is someone within the US that is producing them, finally...

I have seen his stands in person, and most of them are magnificent. The joinery is amazing on the curved leg stand, and the finish is great for the price. He is usually at the larger shows vending in California, so check him out if you get a chance.

He also has lots of suiseki for sale.

Great looking stands, that triple miter joint is awesome, is it hand cut joinery? I'd love to see an exploded view...

You can see enlarged pictures at my website, www.artofthedaiza.wordpress.com, and when you click on the pictures they will enlarge.
I have 30 years woodworking experience and read a lot of books on woodworking.
I have several machines set up in my shop for certain uses. One table saw is set up only to cut perfect miters like the corners on the table in my previous post so that they come out perfect.
All of my stands are finely made with quality joinery. No nails and screws and certainly not "glued sticks".
I also make Kiri Bako like this one for stones and stands.
