Just bought my first stone, not suiseki but ZiShi, the seller was clear that it is a chinese mudstone, not a japanese suiseki. Very passionate lady though, had a nice chat. She collects the stones herself from China, and said this one among others came from the Gobi desert.
It's about 10cm across, daiza made by her husband. Madakobo Ye Cao Tang studio. They don't appear to have a website but they also sell at the Trophy.
