First Trident Root Prune

I'm new to Maples. I've been growing this Trident in the ground from a seedling for about a year. It's winter here so I've lifted and root pruned it. Just after some feedback.

Not too bad but I would have gone harder, particularly on the bigger, thicker roots. They could do with some shortening to maximise the root ramification you can obtain. Tridents are rock solid. Assuming the tree is healthy they really can take a serious root prune, more so than Japanese maples. But, like I said... not bad. 👍🏼
