Two blossoms from the same sunflower plant that's been blooming for 2 months. 
Took the morning glory pic and then pulled it out of the ground. 
@ShadyStump, me too, likely the last hurrah before winter.

Good excuse to get one then and join the club.
They're fast growers that you can develop fairly quickly, and flower and fruit multiple times throughout the year. They even do really well indoors under lights.

It's the second time I've noticed this. Should have isolated the seed from that flower.
Turns out it's a mutation called terminal Poloria. I looked it up. For years I've been pulling all the colored ones before they go to seed in keeping with my colour scheme. Doesn't work great but the vast majority are white. Wish I had got a better picture.

Not too surprised since at our club show last weekend one of our members showed an azalea in bloom. Also, I've seen several landscape azaleas in bloom this week. And, since we could have frost any day now, my Brugmansia (which is still outside) is about to bloom again.
Is it August? May? October?
