The first tree I bought (Barbados Cherry) & not a elm S tree, (did I win) and it's still overgrown and not much to look at unless it flowers. I haven't done much work other than branch pruning, is going crazy with flowers now.

Yeah a good hard cutback and some wiring to bring the foliage in would really bring that tree into it's own, nice and healthy looking too.

I've never had any of the flowers fully open since I got it, and it's had a bunch of flower spikes.
