Forsythia double trunk fusion

Hi all, I thought I’d make my first post an exciting one about a trunk fusion.
A few seasons ago my friend propagated some forsythia stems and gifted them to me around march this year.
After some very vigorous growth in a pot in my garden I decided to take some cuttings about 2-3 weeks ago which are currently still rooting in my north facing shed.
The remaining stems are full of growth and ideal for a fusion near the base of the stems.
After uprooting them there was a huge mass of roots which I organised in a circular pattern for a nice flat radial root spread (nebari), on a piece of slate about 3/4 of the pot up.
I used a soil mix of perlite, potting mix no2, sand and some general compost.

Being my first time doing this and also my first post, I was just wondering how long the trunks may take to fuse before I can remove the wire ?

That’s it really, I will keep this thread updated with significant progress of this project :)

Pictures to follow :)
