I have an ugly tuber that I got awhile ago. I haven't been very fond of, it has three ugly tubers on it. Last reporting I tried to stick a rock in between the tubers to create a root over rock to create some character to an already ugly plant. Well when I tried that it crack the tubers in the middle. Since then the tubers have been drying out and has been declining in health. Should I stick it a closed container wrapped in Sphagnum over the roots and under the crack? Please help.

Pictures would be a great help, especially if the tubers could be rotting.

No they definitely aren't rotting just the tubers look like they're drying out. I can't take a picture because I already took action and took it out of the pot added Sphagnum moss to the problem areas where the trunk was splitting.. Made sure they're wasn't any root rot and medium to the soil and stuck it in a Ziploc slightly moist inside.
