Is now a good time to start scion grafting junipers? I live near Charlotte NC.
 
I would think early March might be better. You do need to keep them frost free after performing the graft. Fwiw, I'll be performing a bunch of approach grafts in March and April (timing on approach grafts is less important then with scion grafts, though).

That's cool. It'll give me some time to get some more stock to take grafts from. I've never attempted grafting and I've been really wanting to try and want to give myself the best chance at success.
 
I plan to try some myself for the first time this year. Keep us updated on your progress.
