Hey all, there is a Burning Bush at Lowes with a nice thick trunk on it, and I'm considering buying it. My question, if I want better nebari on this tree, would a Ground Layer be succesful with it? I have no idea how well this technique works, as I have not really tried it. Thanks all.

Ryan, from what I have seen re. these rooting just sticking pieces in the ground, I think a controlled layer would work no problem.

No prob., my x GF used to prune off branches and plant them, soon enough there was new growth, and new plants. It's also on the list of invasive species, probably because it is so easy to propagate.

I didn't know that at all. I never would've guessed they root that easily. But maybe I will buy it and give it a shot.
