Here is a before and after annitial styling of a Green island ficus

I finally to give this little guy his first wiring. Here are some before and after photos
He is one of 40 GI ficus in need of the first wiring. These are my favorite ficus. I love how small the leaves get with wiring and trimming.

Love it! Such a strong trunk - I wish we got good material like that here in Virginia. You can find good Ficus, but you really really have dig for it. I feel like a trip to Florida is in order.

I would be all over that! I've heard such good things about several nurseries down there - Schley's, Wigert's and Jim Smith's (Vero Beach, I think?). I would loooooove some really fat pre-stock ficus.

I've even thought about finding someone in Florida to "broker" me a nice sumo ficus. Buying from websites is all fine and good, but it's no substitute for someone physically searching through the stock at the nursery.
