This is not a crabapple but an actual Hime Ringo dwarf apple. These are not easy to find here, this one is an imported tree. The leaves got burned this year, (this only likes morning sun) but is healthy. I'm including pictures of the fruit that set last year, and spring photos of bloom this year. Also current photos current with the ugly (lol) leaves. The tree has several good fronts, which is why it's in a round pot, as you never know what side the fruit will appear on.The pot is Fugushige Bushuan, and is a very $$ pot. If someone wants the pot, I'd be happy to sell the combo, but would also sell the tree on it's own, and slip it into a nursery pot for shipping. I'm asking 450. plus shipping for the tree without the pot. If someone wants it with the pot, it's an additional 500.

Killin me! Another temptation. I think my Suthins are still burning my wallet space for new trees at the minute though. That Fugushige is fantastic.

The nicest thing about the Fugushige is that it has a motif and color that is a memory of the fruit in off seasons. ;)

Are you asking about fruit bearing trees, or flowering trees, or shohin trees in general?
I just recently purchased a Himi Ringo Apple bonsai tree and can't find much info about them.I thought i saw post where you had one.If I have the wrong person im sorry about that

it’s not all clear to me that hime ringo (males prunifolia) isn’t a crab apple. Lots of conflicting information out there. Like this most say the species is a crabapple. Apparently the primary difference between a “regular” apple and a crabapple is fruit size. Also fruit tartness. Genetically both are apple trees. Cultivated apple were selected and cultivated for their fruit which encouraged those cultivars to err on the side of larger fruit. Genetically there isn’t really a delineation between crabs and regular apples from what I can find

Yes I did have one. I was just unsure of what information you were looking for. Treat it basically like any other fruiting apple, like a crabapple. Being conscious of timing and keeping the spur branching. Keep air circulation thru the tree as fungus can be an issue. Also be watchful for Cedar-Apple rust. Hope this helps.

I'm Screenshoting this one, thank you for replying. This is my first tree that fruits. I'll read up on the crabapple trees
