Does anyone know what tool would be the best for removing this branch on my fukien tea circled in red? Any tips you can give me are greatly appreciated
And it won't necessarily be one cut. I usually use normal pruners to cut a thicker branch, then use concave cutters to nip away until the wound looks decent.
Not trying to be offensive, but personally I'd air layer the end (left-most side) of the straight section and make that a new tree. That section looks unattractive.
You'd have to sprout some shoots closer to the base (preferably right at the first bend) and just chop that straight section off altogether after the air layer, and after enough leaves have sprouted to support the tree, of course.
