Im looking to display my bonsai a bit nicer in my garden and i'm planning to place some pedestals in the ground.
Currently most of my trees are sitting out of sight in a corner of my yard on a bench (not visible in picture)
My garden is west-facing meaning most direct morning sun is blocked by my house and most sunlight will be coming from the southern side between 12-6pm during the growing season.

Im planning to place my conifers on the northern side of the garden, where they will receive direct sunlight for most of the day. During really hot summer days, I will foresee some shade cloth, or move them to a slightly more shaded area to protect the roots from extreme heat.
For my maples (and other deciduous trees) , I want to place them on the southern side, where they will have shade from my fence all day and only receive direct sunlight at sunset.

Im just worried that they wont be receiving enough sunlight to thrive, or am I being too worrysome here?

Generally speaking, Japanese maples do well with direct morning sun and afternoon shade during the heat of the day. However a lot depends on the cultivar, with red leaf cultivars being more sun tolerant than green leaf, and palmatum leaf cultivars being more tolerant than dissectum cultivars. I have red palmatum trees here in full sun all day (in landscape) and they don't show signs of heat stress. However my Japanese maple bonsai or pre-bonsai are all on benches facing the east, and they get full shade from about noon on (in the summer).

I dont get any morning sun in my garden unfortunately. From spring till summer, my garden gets full sun from noon till sunset. I might also end up putting them far enough from the fence to still get full sun and just put some shade netting during the hottest months

Maples will survive with less sun but may not survive all day hot sun so the South side is probably your best option for maples.
You may have to battle with longer internodes but at least the trees will be alive.

You could also consider a spot away from that Southern wall and use a shade structure to give the deciduous trees a good balance of sun and necessary shade.
