I'm confident you're right

But kokufu?

I'm hoping to attend both and it would certainly make life easier to know kokufu dates this far in advance as opposed to October
I heard that they have it later than usual because kokufu is 100th anniversary and they do not want to oberlap

Lets see whether this will eventually get a thread, or whether it is a fun thing to give a away in 6 months when I am bored with it..

Spring cleaning of the cutting/seedling trays.. 5 types of elm, kaki, japanese maple, lylac and azalea: ixed species forest in the making

Just got a parcel with most of my tools back. All sharpened, re-aligned, the little spigots (?) replaced where needed. So great that there are still people that understand good professional metalworking.

In comparison, I'm probably going to end up getting tool protective services called on me for neglect

First time in ? 15 ? years that I have a professional look at my tools. They really needed it. Hinges so loose I had to twist scissors to make them cut. And not.. Perfect alignment with this very soft slash sound when you close them. Aaahh!

Rivets?

Nice to have someone that can do this work.

Yes, rivets!

This guy is GOOD.
He purchases the tools he sells from respected japanese outlets, then when they arrive, he check each of them, and adjusts them ever so slightly just to get the perfect alignment.

Gotta love a really good tool person!

Tested one out in the US …had high hopes. Did well cleaning/buffing yet regretfully created a bevel on the two scissors sent in. Mentioned has sharpened over 10k this way. Ugh.

Guess must of thought these were kitchen scissors! Ended up sharpening over myself.

Still looking for reliable person in US for refurbishing, like your person.
