korean hornbeam flowering

well i wasnt able to repott my hornbeam my stuff came to late and the buds looked like they were about to open, but it looks like it is flowering their are about 5 of these flower looking things they are not leaves because it already has small leaves they look like flowers to me what do you guys think.

lucky you.... this is one of the things I love most about hornbeams.... these special... almost secret flowers (they are at least illusive to me)

Korean Hornbeams rock. I have small ones I'm thickening up in the ground, and I can't wait until they're thick enough to enjoy in a bonsai pot!

Does anyone know the age a korean hornbeam has to be before it starts producing catlins like this one?
