LED Bonsai

Sometimes I fear my family doesn't really understand my obsession. But today I received from a daughter an incomparable gift. Out of the box, it was just a straight bundle of wrapped wire with LED bulbs. Just a minute or two of "styling" the tree, and VOILA! A new tree, with first (character) branch, back branch, second branch, and even an apex moving toward the front. Tomorrow I could straighten the "S" and create a slanting style, the next day, perhaps twist the trunk into a windswept pattern. Who knows what the future holds for a fun toy like this one?
After the children left, Judy did her best Vanna White imitation so I could make the photo.

I haven't laughed out loud enjoying a gift so much in years! The whole family laughed with me -- or at me. Almost as much fun as a new jigsaw puzzle.

I'm quite sure the apparent reverse taper is simply an artifact of rendering a 3-D object in two dimensions.

Perhaps today's restyling will take care of that.
