I've decided that I would like to start sharing more photos of my trees, general bonsai-related work, thoughts, or nonsense here. I've been thinking a lot about trying to decide if or how much of my personal journey I want to put out on sites like this while maintaining a delicate balance with not 'doing social media.' This is a great forum for awareness, discussion, community, and documentation of growth, and I want to genuinely partake in the positive aspects of that a bit more.
With all that said, I hope you enjoy a little view into my bonsai world.
This first photo is a Black(?) Spruce that has been in my garden for 2 years now. It was bought on FB auctions by a friend, and I believe the seller said it was a Home Depot nursery tree before that. The tree just got it's second round of structural wire, and I've started to slowly kill the big ugly root and make a nice deadwood feature. The tree has a few flaws, but I think it is coming along well and growing into its new shape very nicely.
